Privacy Policy

Effective October 15, 2026

MC411 (Murray County 411) is a local community app for Murray County, Oklahoma: local events, school sports, and classifieds. MC411 is owned and operated by Platt Property Group, LLC, doing business as Platt Media. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. In this policy, "we," "us" and "our" mean Platt Property Group, LLC.

The short version

Information we collect, and why

Just using the app

You can read everything in MC411 without signing up. To understand how the app is used and to give advertisers honest numbers, the app counts:

These counts are anonymous, and we use them only to run and improve MC411 and to report totals to advertisers and the people who post.

On the website (murraycounty411.com/app), the same counting happens, and the random ID is stored in your web browser instead of on a phone. The website doesn't use advertising cookies or trackers.

Notifications (if you turn them on)

If you turn on alerts, your phone gives the app a notification token, an address that lets us send alerts to that phone. We store the token with the alerts you picked (for example categories, towns, schools, sports, team levels, and whether you want live score updates), plus any reminders you've set for an event or game, any games you've muted, or a pause you've set. We use this only to send the alerts you asked for. You can change or turn off alerts in the app or in your phone's settings at any time.

Sports schedules, scores and photos

Classified listings

Photos

Phones often save the place a photo was taken inside the photo file. Before the app uploads a photo, it removes that location information. Photos you add to a post, listing or sports submission are public once published, so please share only photos you have the right to share.

Suggestions and problem reports

When you send a suggestion or report a problem, we receive your message, any screenshots you add, the name and email you give us (both optional), and your phone's operating system and version (to help fix bugs).

Reporting a post

When you flag a post, listing, game or sports post, we receive the reason you picked and your random ID (the same one described above), so each phone or browser can flag something only once. Flags aren't linked to your name or contact details.

Advertisers, business plans and scorekeepers

If you advertise with us, have a business plan, or keep score for a team, staff enter your business or personal name and the contact details you give us so we can provide the service, send you your code, and bill you. When a scorekeeper updates a score, we record which scorekeeper made the change.

Payments

Fees for classified listings, featured listings, featured posts and business posts are paid in the app through Google Play. Google handles the payment; we never see your card or bank details. From Google we receive an order number, the product (which is the price, such as "mc411_1000" for $10), whether the payment went through, and a purchase token, and we keep these with the post or listing you paid for so we can confirm the payment and refund it if needed. If staff turn down something you paid for, we refund it through Google Play.

Ads and monthly business plans are arranged directly with MC411 staff (for example by invoice, cash, check or Venmo). Staff record the amount, the method and a note.

Staff accounts

MC411 staff sign in with an email address and password to review and manage content.

What stays on your phone

Some things are saved only on your phone: your random usage ID, codes for managing your listings or business plan, a scorekeeper code, contact details you've asked the app to remember, and your settings. Deleting the app removes them.

What we don't do

Who we share information with

MC411 is distributed through Google Play (and in the future, Apple's App Store). Those stores have their own privacy policies.

Children and students

MC411 is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Our sports section includes names and photos of student athletes, posted by coaches, parents and staff. If you're a parent or guardian and want a photo or other information about your child removed, open it in the app, tap the flag, and choose "There's a photo of my child I'd like removed," or email us. We'll remove it promptly.

How long we keep information

You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

Your choices

Security

Information is sent between the app and our servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and private information can only be reached by signed-in MC411 staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who can see it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change significantly affects how we use your information, we'll also let you know in the app.
